*When designing the logo for the foundation, the goal was to always make it about James. The logo needed to be something unique, something special, something that was him, which was accomplished by designing a coat of arms. It started with the picture of him on his bike (the Pumpkin King) racing which was outlined for the center of the crest. Next, the Pumpkin King was outlined, with hints of orange highlighted. His helmet that he was wearing during his accident was also used, but the color scheme was changed to purple, his favorite color. Given that purple was his favorite color, it only seemed fitting for it to be used to highlight the foundation’s name, James Musil Memorial Foundation which finishes off the coat of arms.
